I am a Man of Safety Health & Environment Engineering which is a part of ISO 14001 : 2004 Standard – EMS (Environment Management System).

            To manage Contractor also when he is sending somebody in to Harmful & Hazards Area then Safety Officer responsibility of Worker Precautions. That time you tell him contractor if you or your worker does not have a PPE then you can not enter in side. This is Safety Officer Responsibilities.

1)      First take one Safety Survey of the Company in Morning 10 am to 11 am
2)      Then give the IOM Inter Office Memo copy to Production Manager, Mechanical Manager, Electrical Manager, Utility Manager, Civil Manager, Admin Manager, G.M.

Unit – 1 Fundamental of Safety

Worker means = Shop Floor People (Use this word in Industry). Our communication is must very fast in Industries.

Safety Committee is conducting M.R.C. (Management Review Committee) meeting. This committee discussed about safety in the meeting. In this meeting 90% people is talking about safety & 10% people planning about safety.

            M. R. = Management Representative.

            Give the Minutes of Meeting dated to be circulated to all members; Safety Committee & G.M. Safety Committee is depending upon the Company or G.M. We are pin pointing on that people who is drinking. Safety Committee Meeting is conducting quarterly or some companies are conducting a meeting monthly.

            Hidden Potential

            1st taking a Safety Survey
            2nd discussion with admin Manager about this Survey
            3rd give the IOM (Inter Office Memo) to safety Committee & G.M.

            As per the discussion we had to day morning the under signed requesting more to do the correction immediately.

1)                People should not report on duty under us the influence of Alcohol.
2)                People should use P.P.E. compulsory.

Unit – 2 Job Safety Analysis

Safety officer take a round inside the plant daily.

Job Safety Analysis

            A job safety analysis is a technique that focuses on Job Tasks as a way to Identify Hazards.

Value of JSA (Job Safety Analysis)

            Initial job S.H.E. (Safety Health & Environment) planned S.H.E. contacts planned S.H.E. observation, Job Training, Supervisor Training Employee Review.

            Valuable tool for Training Employees.


            In this chapter very IMP is Job Tasks & Identify Hazards.

In ISO one chapter (Chapter – 6) is kept as a Human Resource Development. In this chapter Competences, Awareness in System & Methods are given in details.

This fatal accident disturb all people which is working in plant. 15-20 day Plat close or not good out put (Target not Completed). The total cost going upto 30 to 40 Lacs & this is Genuine Figure. To come back a normal situation it will be taking 15 to 20 days.
